There are several health determinants in EJ’s case as she is now suffering from osteoarthritis in her hip and knees along with type two diabetes. She is 85 years old which means she is suffering from health issues which are age related. She is widowed and lives alone which is a major determinant as it is a matter of fact that people who are alone, away from social environment suffer more from physical weaknesses. Also she had a smoking habit which is responsible for the weak health. Loneliness can be the reason of serious health issues.
